From June 1 to 2, hosted by College of Foreign Languages of FNU and co-organized by the editorial department of Collected Papers on Japanese Studies, a Japanese academic journal,the 3rdJapanese Studies Forum for Postgraduates was held in Fuzhou. The attendees included master and doctoral supervisors and Japanese-majoring graduate studentsfrom12 universities includingTongji University, Xiamen University (XMU), East China Normal University (ECNU), Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS),andSoochow University. During the forum, Prof. Liu Xiaofang fromTongji University, Prof. Wu Guanghui fromXMU and Prof. Zhang Xiuqiang fromGDUFS delivered akeynote speech respectively.
The forumofferedsix discipline-based meetings, with two expertsin charge of making commentsfor each. 37 graduate students from theuniversities made academic speeches at the meetings. Afterwards, Prof. Shi Hui fromSoochow University, Prof. Xing Yongfeng fromShandong University, Prof. You Haiyan fromECNU and other experts introduced the academicsituations of each meeting, commented on the research topics of each presenter, and highly commendedthe forum.
